A modern tradition

Despite being one of Wales’ leading brewers, Evan Evans is often just seen as a brewer of traditional ales, a view that no doubt comes from its heritage (four generations of the Buckley family). However, this is not the case. The brewery brews a full range of beer styles, both modern and traditional. With ambitious plans for the future, it was vital that perceptions were changed. We were briefed to create a new identity and website.

Our solution was to underpin our work with a new proposition for the brewery, ‘A Brewing Tradition’, alongside a much simplified logo, new fonts and colour palette, all of which have the flexibility to work with a range of printed and digital media, pump clips and bottled beers. For the website, we used the theme of ‘A Day in the Life’ to capture a working day at Evan Evans. Location photographer Nigel Ferguson’s bold images bring a dynamic look to things and convey the hands-on spirit of the brewery team.
